Bill Lee paused the rest of the year’s executions and ordered a review. Hours earlier the U.S. Supreme Court had lifted a same-day stay.

On Monday a Myanmar military airstrike hit a market and a nearby bridge in Kyauktaw, northern Rakhine State, in an area held by the Arakan Army near Bangladesh.
